The Future is Model Driven

Hi. With this post I proudly and officially launch this weblog. She will go by the name of “Model Driven Inside” and be 100% dedicated to the topic of Model Driven Engineering (MDE).

The purpose of this blog is to serve the development community by keeping track of relevant news, tools, advancements, best-practices, do’s, don’ts, feeds, resources and opinions in the model driven universe. Why? Simple, I strongly believe the future of software development is model driven. And most of today’s writing on model driven development is very theoretical, largely academic by nature and not very light on the stomach for everyday developers, architects and business analysts (which includes me).

Recent developments on the topic lead us to believe that MDE is showing strong signs that it’s starting to live up to its promise. In fact, it is our expectation that in the next few years MDE will gain significant ground over traditional development methods and technologies - up to the point that it is the dominant form of software development. We make it our task to keep you up to date on the status-quo and invite you to share your views and experiences.
